This alumni feature reflects on my journey from the remote hills of Okhaldhunga, Nepal, to the Graduate School of Public Policy (GraSPP) at The University of Tokyo. It explores how pursuing higher education abroad expanded my perspective on public policy, leadership, and global collaboration while strengthening my commitment to lifelong learning and public service. The story also highlights how international academic experiences, cultural exchange, and policy research have shaped my vision for evidence-based governance in Nepal. It reaffirms my belief that knowledge gained through global engagement carries its greatest value when applied to improving public institutions, strengthening public service, and creating meaningful change for citizens at home.
